Your Own House
This is a great place to start.
It’s amazing at all of the great finds that exist in your own house.
What is “old” to you is “new” to someone on eBay.
Or what is the what some say \”junk \” is someone else \”Honey \”.

Friends / family / colleagues when you know your friends and family that you sell things on eBay, or things that have or are trying to give tag sale for them on eBay.
Many times if you tell them, don’t throw anything away, that you’d be happy to take if off of their hands they’ll do it.
This saves them the trouble of getting rid of the elements and gives you a few things potentially ideal for Selling On Ebay.

Why? Because they occur so frequently.
Most people say that you get to a garage or yard sale early to beat the “early birds”.
Go to some of the sales at the end of the day.
In many cases they’ll be willing to negotiate some great prices.

Estate Sales
A great place to potentially find some high value antique items.
You have more opportunity to find special offers if a professional company is not involved in the management of properties for sale.
But even still, there is potentially a lot of great items from an estate sale that can be sold on eBay.

Flea Markets
If you have a niche market, flea markets maybe a great place to find those knick knacks.
One great thing about flea markets is that you can get a large number of sellers in one area (sort of like a neighborhood garage sale) which will save you time from having to travel all over town.
Church Bazaars / Rummage Sales
A good idea here is to go at the end of the sale and make them an offer to take left over items.
In some cases I’ve heard them giving away the items just to get rid of it.
Storage Auctions
These are auctions that happen from time to time when people rent out a storage unit and then just leave it or fail to pay their monthly rent.
The owner did not have any of the contents of storage areas to the auction to get rid of it and would in most cases the owner of the storage ready to negotiate to get rid of the stuff some great prizes.

Who hasn’t been to a retail store and seen the end of year or end of season sales where items are marked 50% or 75% off? By purchasing these items at these huge discounts, you can then put them on eBay and get the original price that the item originally sold for.
You could then sell those items on eBay which would be a win/win for both you and the store.
Many times the retail stores can return them to the manufacturer, but sometimes they cannot.
What about a small town store that is only selling to the local market.
It’s sort of like you’re being an affiliate marketer for them.

Wholesale Companies
Wholesale companies allow you to buy products in bulk at a discount to retail.
You can then order and sell these items on eBay at a higher price.
Since you are buying products in bulk, you need to find a place to store these products before you sell them.
This works great if you have a warehouse, garage, guest room or other place to store your goods.

These types of relationships can normally be gained through local small manufacturers.

Setting up an account with one of these companies is relatively easy to do.
Drop shippers are becoming more and more popular on eBay, so make sure to check out the existing auctions and stay away from those items that many other people are selling that you’d end up selling.

There’s nothing in the rules that says you can’t sell an item you bought on eBay back on eBay.
Of course, you need to know your market and what price ranges to be done so that this.

It’s a hit and miss thing, but keep your eyes out when driving around town.
One big hurdle, however, is finding the items to sell.
