Ebay Store All Average Fees Monthly?
Well I started Selling On Ebay a few months ago and have been very successful, but Im wondering how much better is an Ebay Store. From what Ive read its a lot cheaper if you are selling many items a month which I am starting to do more of. The listing fees are a one time charge is this right, for the month? Also I havent been able to find out if the item has a minimal of 30 day auction. Everything I read says this price for 30 days, can I put a week on an item and if it doesn’t sell do I get to relist that month for no extra charge?
Just wanting to know because I dont want to end up paying a lot more than what Im already paying, because at the rate Im going Im not going to sell anymore unless the store saves me more than costs me.
I made about $600 average since I started and I just payed a listing fee of like half that, it was pointless for me to go to all the work to only make $300. Trust me I was pissed.
Please let me know.. your experiences and opinions! Thank you
Items in an eBay store sell for fixed prices and last for 30 days. Store items can be set to automatically renew if it does not sell within the 30 day period, but you will be charged another insertion fee.
The insertion fees for Ebay Stores may be cheaper than for auctions, but the final value fees are much higher. This means that the total eBay fees for sold items are higher in an eBay store. It makes sense to have an eBay store if you have a lot of the same product to sell as you can list your entire inventory in the eBay store. Other things that do well are expensive items that attract few bidders. These types of items usually require setting a minimum bid and several relists to sell. You can save all those relisting fees by putting the item in the eBay store.
The main disadvantage of an eBay store is eBay store inventory does not appear in search results unless there are less than 30 items found. This means potential buyers may not find your eBay store listings.
Of course, you need to be able to sell enough product in the eBay store to cover the monthly subscription fee of $15.95 (or more for higher end stores).
Depending on the type of inventory you have, an eBay store may make sense for you.
Good Luck,
Bill
